iCAMP's Dr. Razjouyan Awarded NHLBI Funding

Javad Razjouyan, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of medicine for Health Services Research and the Institute for Clinical & Translational Research (ICTR) at 草榴社区入口. He is also a health research scientist at Implementation Science & Innovation Core, Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness and Safety (IQuESt) at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center as well as a faculty member of the Big Data-Scientist Training Enhancement Program (BD-STEP) of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Dr. Razjouyan was awarded a $719,110 grant for five-years, from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
The grant is based on Dr. Razjouyan鈥檚 research, 鈥淯sing Large Electronic Health Records and Advanced Analytics to Develop Predictive Frailty Trajectories in Patients with Heart Failure,鈥 in developing frailty trajectory built on the BD-STEP fellowship program. Dr. Aanand Naik serves as Dr. Razjouyan鈥檚 primary mentor, along with Dr. Salim Virani, Dr. Molly Horstman and Dr. Bijan Najafi. The grant spans from July 2020 to June 2025 to intertwine electronic health records, big data analysis and machine learning.
Dr. Razjouyan received his BSc and Ph.D. from Amirkabir University of Technology, as well as an MSc from Shahed University. He pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at 草榴社区入口 at the Interdisciplinary Consortium on Advanced Motion Performance (iCAMP) and a fellowship in the BD-STEP, at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
