
Applicants for the Vascular Surgery (Independent) Fellowship Program must have completed an approved residency in General Surgery and be eligible for the qualifying and certifying examinations of the American Board of Surgery by the time they are to enter the Program. Applicants must apply through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP #1716450F0; ACGME #4504821016).
Applicants to the Vascular Surgery Independent Fellowship Program at ²ÝÁñÉçÇøÈë¿Ú are processed through the system from the Association of American Medical Colleges. The following documentations are required for the fellowship application process:
- Completed ERAS application form
- Personal statement
- Curriculum Vitae
- Three letters of recommendation from faculty members
- USMLE Board scores
- American Board of Surgery In-training (ABSITE) exams
- Official medical school transcript
Interviews
Qualified, selected applicants will be invited for an in person interview. Two interview dates will be offered. Interview dates for the 2025 application cycle are Feb. 5, 2025 a²Ô»å Feb. 19, 2025.
International Graduates
International graduates must meet the requirements established by the Office of Graduate Medical Education at ²ÝÁñÉçÇøÈë¿Ú as set by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and the Immigration Services. They will also need to contact the , for information regarding the paperwork process for students and graduates of foreign medical schools. ²ÝÁñÉçÇøÈë¿Ú requires international medical graduates to meet the terms for an Institutional Permit, as outlined by the , and have the documents necessary for a J-1 Visa.
